Pembrokeshire coast - self-catering holiday cottages between St. Davids and Strumble Head

AROUND RHOSLANOGFACH

Ponies in Pembrokeshire
Wild ponies on coast path

The Pembrokeshire coast path is quite spectacular in all weathers, a haven for walkers and bird watchers, a place to be and ponder.

Rhoslanogfach is between St.Davids Head and Strumble Head, the latter being within sight of the property.

There are two particularly lovely bathing beaches close by at Traeth Llyfn and Abermawr. Abermawr is good for surfing too and is best approached via the magic walk through Pen yr Allt wood. Aberbach, the next bay along from Abermawr, is a beautiful secluded pebble beach. Whitsands at St.Davids is 15 minutes drive from Rhoslanogfach, a safe, sandy beach stretching for miles with car park.

Several excellent restaurants are to be found within a few miles radius, for example The Shed at Porthgain, and The Bench in St. Davids. The best pub close by is The Sloop at Porthgain - good meals, family friendly and a short coast walk away from Traeth Llyfn beach. Activities in the area include swimming, walking, bird watching, surfing, horse riding, fishing (Kelvin Jenkins at Solva), exciting island boat trips (St Davids), art galleries (West Wales Art Centre at Fishguard, Chris Neale at Rhoslanogfawr John Knapp-Fisher at Trevigan, Croesgoch and Rhosson House in St Davids), and music festivals in St Davids and Fishguard in May and July respectively.
